Mask and Personal Protective Equipment Donations

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple has successively received donations of PPE materials from BLIA World Headquarters, Master Hsing Yun Cultural and Educational Foundation - Beijing, Dajue Temple in Yixing, China, BLIA Los Angeles Chapter and many other Dharma protectors. With everyone’s concerted efforts, Hsi Lai Temple was able to donate these supplies to local hospitals, police stations, fire departments, nursing homes, homeless shelters and so forth. When the situation in New York was severe, masks were sent to New York to help local frontline medical staff and police to fight against COVID-19. In 2020, a total of 1.09 million masks, 600 personal protective gowns, and 28,900 KN95 (N95) masks were distributed as donations.
