November 26 is Thanksgiving in the United States, and it is also the 32nd anniversary of the Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple in Los Angeles. Due to the pandemic, celebrations could not be held physically. Therefore, Hsi Lai Temple published a video to thank everyone for their support and premiere on the anniversary day. More than 1,000 people have watched and celebrated together online.
The first Abbess of Hsi Lai Temple, Venerable Tzu Chuang shared the hardship and challenges that she had faced during the early stage of development. Nevertheless, she was determined and vowed to propagate Dharma and Humanistic Buddhism in the west.
The Most Abbot Venerable Hsin Bau of Fo Guang Shan conveyed his blessings. He thanks everyone for their contribution and hope everyone diligently propagate the Dharma to benefit the society continuously. The Abbot of Hsi Lai Temple, Venerable Hui Dong said, although the year 2020 is uneasy and chaos, we must practice three acts of goodness and four giving in order to bring peace to the community.
In this season of gratitude, Hsi Lai Temple appreciates all the support from volunteers, members and everyone.
